The leading business school in Japan, GLOBIS University, have a keen focus on International audiences, but before working with Squarebird, their online presence didn’t reflect this.
GLOBIS University were looking to modernise their online presence to support marketing efforts, aimed at attracting international students to join their prestigious array of MBA programmes. Headquartered in Tokyo with a network of campuses across the world including Singapore, Bangkok, San Francisco and Brussels, the new GLOBIS website had to appeal to a global audience.
Combining Functionality with Creativity.
With practicality, entrepreneurship and a strong global network at the core of the GLOBIS offering, it was imperative that the new website reflected these strengths alongside the wider benefits of joining the GLOBIS business school. Following a period of extensive market and user research by the GLOBIS team, Squarebird was briefed, and the discovery phase of the project began, starting with functionality, sitemap and user journeys before moving onto the creatives.
It was important that the new English-speaking GLOBIS website aligned with the global brand and Japanese-speaking site, yet still had their own identity. In order to encapsulate this, we created a number of style tiles to ensure all stakeholders were aligned on the overall look and feel before moving on to a selection of desktop and mobile page designs. Amongst the general visuals of the pages, core functional and organisational elements were included to provide visuals of how these assets would function and display.
An Ecosystem of People, Capital and Knowledge.
Upon completion of the designs, we began developing the website, working intricately with GLOBIS stakeholders to ensure the functionality matched their requirements. The site includes a host of dynamic functionality, feeding courses, faculty members, events and more to provide the user with a constant stream of information and network throughout the site. Bespoke landing pages were an incredibly important element in this project given GLOBIS’ extensive marketing campaigns, therefore we provided a flexible template for them to be able to create their own pages for each campaign.
A modern, informative, and visually appealing website that embodies the GLOBIS difference and presents their offering to talented international prospective students, giving them an insight into what life could look like at the GLOBIS business school.
