Case Studies
Creating a new Bristol destination.
BackWhen owner, Kevin, came to Squarebird, he had a strong sense of what the final interiors of his new venue on the iconic Park Street would look like, but not so much as a name to brand it! He could visualise what a Friday night at (what is now) Goldbrick House looked like and the kinds of people in there, but he didn’t know how to attract them. He called on us as a young, Bristolian team to create a fresh new identity for what had previously been The Florist.
The delivery
After several iterations of brand identity, Goldbrick House was born, bearing the elegance and sophistication of art decor paired with the iconic Bristol Zoo Gorilla, Alfred… a combination bound for success!
The new owners trusted Squarebird to pull together all aspects of the brand, from the primary visuals to the names of each room, floor, and experience. As they reached closer to launching, our web development team got involved and created a tasteful site to match the interiors and printed assets.

“We were tasked with reimagining Goldbrick House for a new audience to be luxurious, steeped in allure and glamour. An exciting task, and one we enjoyed every step of the way. The logo, website and collateral has created a signature brand that reignites the love of a nostalgic Bristol hotspot.”

The result
Goldbrick House launched to the public in March 2023, and ever since business has boomed. The building has maintained its status as a desirable and stylish cocktail bar, with a touch of extra luxury and edge. The Goldbrick House team are grateful for consultation and guidance to form their business into the brand it is today.
Paula Hanley |Goldbrick HouseI can’t thank the team at Squarebird enough! They produced a beautiful brand and website that completely lived up to our vision and were exceptionally supportive throughout the process. Highly recommended – the team at Goldbrick House are really proud of this work!
