How to Invite LinkedIn Contacts to Like or Follow your Company Page

Finally, LinkedIn are allowing page admins to invite their own personal contacts to follow their company page, or any other pages that they manage.

It’s been a gripe of ours with LinkedIn for many years, making organic exposure and viral content for your posts on Company pages difficult to achieve – Facebook has been allowing you to invite your ‘Friends’ to like or follow your page since the beginning. Thankfully, LinkedIn have now got their act together.

Step-by-step guide to getting more LinkedIn followers and inviting your LinkedIn connections to like/follow your company page.

Step 1: Login to LinkedIn on Desktop

On a laptop or desktop, go to www.linkedin.com and login to your account using your username and password.

Step 2: Navigate to your Company page

Search for your company page in the top search bar – if it does not appear or you cannot find it, on desktop, click on the ‘Me’ icon in the top right of your screen.

*Note, if you’re unable to see your company page, or you are not an admin, you may want to consult this article or contact Linkedin for assistance.

Step 3: Select ‘Admin tools’ and choose ‘Invite Connections’

On the right-hand side, you’ll be presented with a new ‘Admin Tools’ section. Click this to see more options.

*Note, if you cannot see this menu item, then your account may not have been updated yet to include this new feature. Check back in a few days – Linkedin seem to be slowly rolling this feature out across accounts.

Step 4: Choose contacts you wish to invite

You will now be presented of a list of all of your contacts who do not currently follow your page. Select each person you would like to invite (up to 100 per month, per company page) – we’d recommend setting yourself a little reminder each morning to invite another 100 for quicker results).

The search bar at the top also enables you to search for specific people – helpful if you have a large number of connections and you want to invite a specific handful.

They will each receive a notification informing them that you have invited them to follow your page. If they accept, they’ll become a follower!

Step 5: Click ‘Invite Connections’

And that’s it, you’re done! You may want to set a reminder to do this every few months. It’ll help you to ensure that any new Linkedin connections are prompted to follow your company page later down the line.
