The role in summary
- With our team of specialists in design, development, SEO/PPC, copywriting and digital marketing at your disposal, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and delivery of digital marketing plans, website content development, SEO, PPC, email marketing and social media marketing campaigns for a growing pool of clients
- Working as part of our Leadership Team to agree plans for servicing our client accounts, helping us shape and develop our digital marketing services as we grow
- Ensuring our Marketing team measures and reports on all digital marketing activity, assessing goals against KPIs, and ROI
- Identifying trends and insights that will benefit digital marketing activity for our growing range of B2B and B2C clients
- Assisting with Squarebird’s own marketing and outreach campaigns where necessary
Key knowledge and skills:
- Minimum 4 years experience in digital marketing
- Skills and knowledge in using various digital marketing channels, specifically SEO, PPC and social media marketing
- Experience/involvement in creating or implementing marketing plans and input in marketing strategy development
- Knowledge of the web design and development process
- Skills in understanding and implementing good user experience
- Great leadership skills, with experience in managing or supervising team members
- Good understanding of websites (WordPress desirable)
- Analytical skills and data-driven thinking

Are you looking for a full-time apprenticeship in web development? You’re in the right place! 💻😎
Based in our swanky new office space in Nailsea, just outside of Bristol, Squarebird works with clients of all sizes, providing web and digital marketing solutions to firms big and small around the globe. Clients include Thatchers Cider, Brandon Trust, Lancer Scott and other exciting names.
The successful candidate will join the company to learn our web development process, assisting with WordPress website projects and working with the team to ensure that our portfolio of websites are well-maintained, operating in tip-top condition.
The Course
The successful candidate will be enrolled on to a Junior Developer Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme, which will take a minimum of 16 months.
We hope to offer excellent future progression prospects upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Working hours will be 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work on-site initially, with potential for flexible working 2 days per week upon successful completion of probation.
Required skills
The role will include:
- Amending and building amazing websites through WordPress
- Maintaining and updating existing websites
- Conducting software updates and problem solving
- Liaising with clients and collaborating with our Account Managers
- Following the lead of other developers in working with the design team to turn their concepts into living, breathing pieces of art!
Who should apply?

We are looking for a top-class Business Development / Client Success Manager to join our team! We are looking for a Business Development Manager to build relationships within our existing client portfolio (and respond to inbound enquiries from this same group) to understand their individual needs and identify opportunities for our team to deliver value for them. This might include website improvements, content development, ad-hoc graphic design pieces, website refreshes, conversion optimisation projects, social media campaigns, etc! You will have our delivery teams – web development, design, marketing (copywriting, social media, retainer management) – at your disposal for implementation, as well as a projects team who will be on hand to take on any major projects you identify/agree with clients.
The role will include:
- Leading on business development initiatives, largely centred around outreaching to existing clients
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of comms journeys and marketing campaigns
- Outreaching to potential new clients
- Working with internal teams/resources and external contractors to ensure delivery of scoped/agreed work
- Collaborating with internal teams and clients to plan and execute client requests, including web development, content production, graphic design, photography/videography, SEO/SEM, PPC, social media advertising, social media management, and email campaigns, etc
- Measuring and reporting on all business development activity, assessing goals against KPIs, and ROI
- Supporting the organisation with best-practice service delivery
- Support the organisation with ensuring accuracy of billing sales and reporting
