A complete brand and web revolution for Apollo, a leading UK-based energy advisory and engineering consultancy.
Conscious that their brand and digital presence was not reflective of their focus on the renewable energy market, Apollo identified the requirement for a complete brand overhaul and new digital presence. They enlisted Squarebird to help deliver their project, code named Fit For Future!
Finding the voice. Creating the identity.
We began by exploring how Apollo had reached this junction, and why their brand was no longer reflective of their emerging vision. We also analysed existing assets, including stakeholder research and internal and external survey findings, as well as reviewing the competitive landscape to establish the gaps that Apollo would be looking to exploit with their USPs and new direction.
We spent time with their team to gain insights into the culture, strong values, deliverables, and strategic direction within the Apollo team. This enabled us to work with their Board of Directors and steering committee to develop a new vision statement for the company that would serve as the driving force for the project – creatively and strategically.
Our project team then collaborated with Apollo’s operations and marketing departments to establish the key user personas and the experiences they were looking for, to specify the requirement for content and develop the creative brief.
Fit for future.
A small yet critical element of the web project was the task of choosing a new domain name. It was a challenging element to the project, but we managed to acquire apollo.engineer, a ‘new-age’ top level domain (rather than a .co.uk or .com) which reflected the outcomes and the intention of the project – being fit for future.
Apollo’s case studies were a significant component to the website. To validate their experience capability, and showcase their incredibly strong team of people, their values, and the positive culture within. To not only attract new clients, but help attract new talent also.
The successful brand revolution has been well received internally and externally, enabling Apollo to create excitement about their new direction and advanced vision.
