After a period of rapid growth and change, EVONA came to Squarebird for a mature, futuristic new look to establish their brand. We created a bold, graphically-led visual style and website that reflected their presence in all areas of the space industry – from upstream to downstream to the novel sounding geospatial sector. It also incapsulated their core message: everyone, from any background, has a role to play in space.
A stellar design.
For EVONA, telling the true story of space sector recruitment was vital. Not only can space be highly inclusive, but it also isn’t just for astronauts. With all of us using space every single day – to navigate, use our phones, and even watch TV – we knew we needed to deliver a visual style that would rewrite the narrative and open up the industry.
Working with existing branding, we explored the visual limits they wanted to push through style tiles, helping them move towards a clean, dark, space-inspired look. Then we rolled the concept out across the website using a cinematic, aspirational style – perfectly reflective of their vision and ambitions.
Extensive image manipulation, editing, and icon creation meant every element of the website worked together to create a cohesive brand experience. We also held a tone of voice workshop to discover how the client wanted to sound, and implemented this voice throughout website content to break down the sector and spread the right message.
Next, we started the build, bringing the stunning new vision for EVONA to life in a collaborative way, ensuring the technical function aligned with the visuals, and the ever-evolving message and direction of the company. We also performed a number of technical integrations with recruitment and marketing platforms, helping to streamline their operations and facilitate internal teams with the right information.
