Creating a visual feast of a website for local artisan pizzeria.
Local favourite Pizza Workshop is a community hub for exceptional Italian fare, crafting all their pizza from the same 77 year old Neapolitan sourdough starter called Dodo. They were looking for a more visual online presence that better showcased their unique offering, and made it easier to update the menu. We defined a bespoke visual style that truly aligned with their slogan and core focus: ‘One thing. Made Well’.

Pizza Workshop restaurants are at the heart of their communities. From canteen-style Bedminster favourite to refined Clifton satellite, both restaurants are loved by locals for exceptional pizza, lovingly handcrafted from the same sourdough starter – brought all the way here from Naples! Despite their local renown, their website wasn’t fit for purpose, lacking visuals and making it tricky for the team to update information and adjust the menu.
We held a discovery session with the business owners and our team of talented designers, who immersed themselves in the culture and story behind Pizza Workshop’s offering. Understanding that the new site needed to provide greater opportunities for prompting users to book a table, download their app, and order online, we established a photography-led visual style that looked good enough to eat.
Mouth-watering imagery and design nailed down, we got started on the build. Bringing the website together was easy for our talented developers, who made sure the finished site linked up with their booking and gift card systems, and provided all the functionality the pizzeria needed. Built complete, the site was ready to go live: a visual feast for the senses that was one thing made very well indeed!
