In 2015, we were approached by a local entrepreneur who needed an online presence and brand identity to launch and optimise the sale of his innovative motorcycle tool, the Chain Monkey. Our slick website proved robust enough for him to fully capitalise on his successful appearance on Dragons’ Den. This investment alongside bold graphic design and SEO have taken this e-commerce business from small start-up to international brand.

A website for growth.
We created a website that could adapt to the growing requirements of the business, from an early focus on individual sales to large, international e-commerce store. The WordPress website is now home to over 60 products, uses ‘Drag and Drop’ functionality, is available in multiple languages, accepts Google and Apple Pay, and offers a successful affiliate marketing platform.
In 2018, we successfully applied to the BBC, helping Tru-Tension achieve a £75,000 investment from Touker Suleyman. We quickly prepared, adapted, and optimised the website ahead of the show airing, meaning our website handled the surge in visitors without any down-time. In 24 hours, the website attracted over 10,000 visitors, with 3,000 viewing the site concurrently. Our seamless hosting support meant that Tru-Tension was the only company that suffered no crashing or disruption to their site during the show. This allowed the brand to capitalise on sales, data collection, and brand exposure.
Currently the website converts several thousand product sales per year, and acts as a brochure to international retailers, distributors, and partners. It continues to grow and perform exceptionally well, with a 133% increase in organic visitors throughout December 2020, compared to 2019.
